About the Director

Dénes Orosz is a Hungarian director, scriptwriter and producer born in 1977 in Debrecen. He graduated as a social pedagogue at Nyíregyháza College. He continued his studies as screenwriter at the University of Theatre and Film Arts, Budapest. He graduated in 2001 and started his doctoral studies, which he finished in 2006 as DLA.

He has been directing for more than 20 years, he worked on several shorts, commercials and features as well. His most known works include Poligamy, a feature that was part of several IFF’s program, as well as Coming Out the most successful Hungarian film in Hungarian cinemas in 2013.
